Red Consultancy was out in force at last weekend’s traditional curtain-raiser for the new football season, the FA Community Shield supported by McDonald’s.
The event is also the platform for the National McDonald’s FA Community Awards which is the pinnacle of the UK-wide local FA Awards. The awards seek to recognise the best volunteers, clubs and leagues that keep grassroots football going including, for the second year, the Football Mum of the Year Award.
It was a busy day for Red, who managed multiple media interviews with seven brand ambassadors on the day including Ryan Giggs, Emile Heskey, Coleen Rooney, Martin Keown and Sir Geoff Hurst. Interviews ranged from Sky Sports, BT Sports and The Times to OK, Reveal and Now magazine.
Red also managed a busy press office in the weeks before and after the event, securing coverage across regional media regarding the youngsters who took part as Player Escorts and in the team parade before the match.
