Gamers, celebrities, content creators and media got an exclusive preview of the new Destiny 2 Beta this week.
Activision joined forces with Virgin Media for an exclusive two day event which offered Virgin Media customers in the UK the chance to get hands on with one of this year’s most hotly anticipated games before it went live worldwide.
The team at Red Consultancy secured over 150 celebrities, content creators and media to attend a special evening as part of the event which saw guests not only experience the game but explore Destiny-themed galleries, displays and merchandise.
Celebrity talent included Love Island ‘It’ couple, Dom Lever and Jessica Shears, Everton FC footballer Yannick Bolasie as well as Grime songstress Lady Leshurr. Inbetweeners star James Buckley also made an appearance to create content for his own gaming YouTube channel, ‘Completed It Mate’.
During the evening, Destiny 2 ambassadors Yannick Bolasie and Lady Leshurr conducted media interviews with national sports and consumer lifestyle media, participated in content for creator channels and met with the YouTube community.
The event generated a social reach of over 7 million plus masses of on-message media coverage in key titles.
