Red Consultancy brought out the big guns to launch Activision’s latest Call of Duty instalment, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with an amazing livestream battle.
Red co-ordinated the attendance of over 100 guests at the launch event in Central London including celebrities, media, YouTube influencers and brand partners who were able to watch and participate in the livestream which featured three high profile teams going head to head.
The teams were led by prominent captains including Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Dele Alli, musical heavyweights Kurupt FM and Big Narstie as well as Ali A and PlayStation Access.
To promote the stream and the grudge matches, Red created a series of animated social assets which dialled-up the rivalry between the team captains and helped make an 'appointment-to-view' for the livestream across UniLad and Ali A channels.
In a nice follow-on from the video produced with sports presenter Chris Kamara to promote the Call of Duty World League Final in September, Chris was back in action to commentate the footballers' match alongside fellow CoD caster Alan Brice.
The livestream generated over 1.3m views via the UniLad Facebook page and Red secured further media engagement and post launch momentum from interviews with the footballers across broadcast, national and consumer lifestyle press on the night.
